Building up one's own brand [authority] and the creation of the Company's image.

Beginning:

  • "Follow-up" session consolidating the acquired knowledge and skills

- discussing the effects of actions taken by the Participants
- resources and competences - individual SWOT

  • Ice breakers - games for building up the atmosphere and creative involvement


1. Supervisor's authority - why is it worth having it?

  • The authority of power or the power of authority - different types and disparate approach to people

- enslaving authority: stems from the craving for power and excessive ambitions
- liberating authority: inspires people and enjoys their appreciation
- different results of stimulating employees' behaviour
- the key to possess the authority - perceiving oneself from the angle of events

  • Authority building methods

- ingratiation - winning people over
- self-promotion - gaining trust for one's own competences

2. People - the most precious resource of the organization

  • HR from the marketing perspective

- superior and subordinates as a brand
- the components of a brand: reputation, values, the knowledge about a product/service
- 7 innate values, in other words, what is important and what people want

  • Creating favourable interpersonal relations in the organization

- conscious communication based on clear assumptions
- transactional analysis [reasons for and effects of specific behaviours]
- "difficult man - difficult situation" and looking for a compromise
- psychological territory - its significance for interpersonal contacts

3. Employees' attitude as the foundation for the Company's image

  • The influence of the possessed knowledge about the Company on the creation of its external image

- the principle of openness and confidentiality, in other words, which information may be spread
- the way of acting in the event of a crisis

  • "I am the Company I represent" creating a positive PR by employees


4. Future-oriented management

  • Actions aiming at cooperation [proactive behaviour]

  • Supporting employees' development on the basis of partner relations

- Coaching: assistance and  supporting subordinates in achieving defined goals
- Mentoring: discovering employees' potential and motivating them to action

5. Self-presentation: creating a positive image of oneself - skills training

  • The analysis of the recordings from the practical perspective
